These Terms of Service govern your use of Leaf Bookmarks. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Leaf Bookmarks.

1. What Leaf Bookmarks is

Leaf Bookmarks is an app for saving, organizing, and accessing web links. You can use folders, tags, and AI features to generate summaries, suggest tags, and suggest folders.

The goal of the product is to help you build a personal link library that is clearer, more useful, and more pleasant to use.

2. User account

To use certain features, you need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information.
  • Keeping your account secure.
  • Not sharing your credentials.
  • Notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • Complying with these terms.

We may suspend or limit access if we detect abuse, fraud, security risk, or violation of these terms.

3. Free plan and Pro plan

Leaf Bookmarks is a freemium product.

The free plan includes basic features with limits, currently:

  • Up to 2 folders.
  • Up to 5 tags.
  • No AI features.

The Pro plan unlocks additional features, including AI features and broader usage capacity.

Limits, prices, and benefits may change over time. If we make relevant changes, we will try to communicate them reasonably.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are managed through in-app purchases and services such as Apple and RevenueCat.

By subscribing:

  • You accept the price shown at the time of purchase.
  • You accept automatic renewal if the plan indicates it.
  • You can cancel from your Apple ID settings.
  • Pro access depends on the subscription being active.
  • Refunds are handled according to Apple's rules.

Leaf Bookmarks does not directly control Apple's refund decisions.

Deleting your Leaf Bookmarks account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. To avoid future charges, you must cancel the subscription from your Apple ID.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the content you save in Leaf Bookmarks, including links, titles, descriptions, folders, tags, and notes or summaries edited by you.

You give us a limited permission to process that content only to:

  • Operate the app.
  • Sync your data.
  • Display your library.
  • Generate AI features if you use them.
  • Perform backups or necessary technical tasks.
  • Prevent abuse or resolve technical issues.

We do not sell your personal content.

6. Responsibility for saved links

You are responsible for the links you save and how you use the app.

You should not use Leaf Bookmarks to save, organize, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal.
  • Infringes third-party rights.
  • Contains malware or phishing.
  • Promotes abuse, fraud, or harm.
  • Violates other people's privacy.
  • Is used to harass or harm others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts if we reasonably believe there is abuse, legal risk, or violation of these terms.

7. AI features

AI features may generate summaries, suggested tags, suggested folders, or embeddings from links and publicly available content.

Please note that:

  • AI can make mistakes.
  • Summaries may be incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Suggested tags or folders may not perfectly represent the content.
  • You should not rely on AI for legal, medical, financial, or critical decisions.
  • You can edit or ignore suggestions when the app allows it.

Leaf Bookmarks does not guarantee complete accuracy of AI-generated results.

8. External services and third-party sites

Leaf Bookmarks works with external services such as Supabase, PostHog, RevenueCat, OpenRouter, Jina AI, and Apple.

You may also save links to third-party websites. Leaf Bookmarks does not control those sites or their content.

We are not responsible for:

  • Availability of external sites.
  • Changes to saved pages.
  • Incorrect or harmful third-party content.
  • Privacy policies of external sites.
  • Decisions by external providers outside our control.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Leaf Bookmarks to:

  • Attempt to access other people's accounts.
  • Bypass technical or commercial limits.
  • Abuse AI features.
  • Perform abusive scraping or automation against the app.
  • Interfere with security or infrastructure.
  • Upload or save malicious content.
  • Infringe intellectual property.
  • Use the app for illegal activities.

We may apply limits, block features, or suspend accounts to protect the service.

10. Service availability

We want Leaf Bookmarks to be stable and reliable, but we do not guarantee continuous availability.

The service may be affected by:

  • Maintenance.
  • Technical errors.
  • Provider changes.
  • Network interruptions.
  • Issues with third-party services.
  • Changes required for security or legal compliance.

We may modify, pause, or discontinue features when necessary.

11. Product changes

Leaf Bookmarks is evolving. We may add, modify, or remove features, change limits, or adjust plans.

If a change materially affects your use or subscription, we will try to communicate it reasonably.

12. Intellectual property

Leaf Bookmarks, its design, brand, interface, code, text, graphics, and product experience belong to their respective owners.

These terms do not grant you rights to the brand, design, or software beyond personal use of the app in accordance with these terms.

You may not copy, modify, resell, distribute, or create derivative products from Leaf Bookmarks without authorization.

13. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, we may use them to improve Leaf Bookmarks without any obligation to compensate you.

Do not send confidential information through feedback or support forms unless necessary.

14. Cancellation and deletion

You may stop using Leaf Bookmarks at any time.

You may also delete your account from within the app. Deletion removes the main data associated with your account, except for any retention necessary for legal reasons, security, fraud prevention, or compliance.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. To avoid future charges, you must cancel the subscription from your Apple ID.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

Leaf Bookmarks is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will operate without interruption.
  • All errors will be fixed immediately.
  • AI results will be accurate.
  • External links will remain available.
  • The product will fit every specific use you may need.

You use Leaf Bookmarks at your own risk.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Leaf Bookmarks and its responsible parties will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages, or for loss of data, revenue, opportunities, or reputation arising from the use or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

17. Indemnity

You agree to hold Leaf Bookmarks harmless from claims, damages, or costs arising from:

  • Your misuse of the service.
  • Your violation of these terms.
  • Content you save or process.
  • Infringement of third-party rights.
  • Illegal use of the app.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service. We will publish the updated version with its date.

If you continue using Leaf Bookmarks after a change, you are considered to have accepted the updated terms.
